Scott is known as an Omaha specialist though he still has some impressive results in Hold'em as well. He was originally looking to become an mortgage broker but left that career to pursue his passion for poker.
He made his tournament début in 2005 winning the $1,000 Harrah's Lake Tahoe Poker Festival event for $45,745 and cashed in the WSOP main event that year. In 2006 he won the WSOP $3,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event for his first bracelet and $301,175. Later that year he also won the C$2,500 WPT Canadian Poker Open taking home $222,051.
2007 got off to a good start with a 8th place in the WPT $7,800 Caribbean Poker Adventure for $151,873. Then a 2nd place in the $2,500 Fifth Annual Five Star World Poker Classic. The WSOP that year he cashed five times including a 5th place in the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em, before going onto winning his second bracelet in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha for $194,206. Scott also won his first WPT Championship at the C$ 10,000 No Limit Hold'em North American Poker Championships and his biggest cash for $1,505,312.
At the 2008 WSOP Scott managed 4 more cashes and two final tables in the $1,500 and $2,000 Omaha Hi/Lo events. The 2009 WSOP saw him come close to his third bracelet in the $10,000 World Championship Omaha Hi/Lo but lost heads up and had to settle for $275,946. Less than a week later he finished 3rd in the WSOP $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo. With consistent results like that it probably won't be long till he adds another bracelet.
