Shannon Shorr has been playing professional poker since early 2006. He had immediate success winning at the Bellagio and taking home over $950,000. Since then he has accumulated over $3,800,000 in live action tournament winnings alone, that does not take into consideration any on-line wins or cashes. His strategy throughout the tournament was to get a feel for the style and tendency of his opponent and then adjust his own play to best suit that situation. He said his early match was a far different style than that of the last two. He may have won big in the past, but Shannon noted that $28,000 is still a lot of money and after he won his first matchup he decided he had to take the whole thing, otherwise the event would be a disappointment. However, he would not need to face that disappointment, and after several grueling hours of heads-up play in the final match alone he was able to add yet another win to his already impressive resume.
