Josh is originally from New York but moved with his family to Atlanta when he was eight. He got into poker when he and his friends decided to give it a try instead of playing their usual games of pool.

He went to his first WSOP in 1999 and won his first bracelet for the $3,000 Limit Hold'em winning $202,800. He came close to a second the following year but lost heads up in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha. His greatest pay day came in 2004 for his 3rd place finish in the WSOP Main Event banking $2,500,000. He eventually got his second bracelet in 2005 winning the $2,000 Pot Limit Omaha and taking home $381,600.

His total winnings come to $4,750,396placing him 50th on the all time money list.
